Yahara Journal Scary Story and Artwork Contest

Do you enjoy scary stories? Try writing one! The Yahara Journal is holding a Scary Story and Artwork Contest to celebrate Halloween. Madison College students are encouraged to use this form to submit their scary stories. The best scary story and scary artwork will win $25.

We'll share some of our favorites on our website and at our Halloween Celebration. The best stories and artwork will be published in our Scary Story chapbook, available for free at the celebration.

To enter, simply fill out this form and submit your story or artwork before midnight on Oct. 27.

Limit three entries per person. Written Entries have a maximum length of 2,000 words. Judging will be based on scariness and originality. Spelling, grammar and mechanical errors will count against you. Please don't add clip art to your stories. Submissions that plagiarize another work in part or in whole will be disqualified.

Artwork submissions should be as JPGs or PDFs and be smaller than 2MB in size. If your file is bigger than 2MB, you can email it to the Yahara Journal.
