The School of Academic Advancement programs are designed to develop academic skills for success in your education and career. The courses and support services will help you gain proficiency to transition to a certificate or degree program. Classes are offered in-person, online, and hybrid (blended online and in-person) instructional modes with morning, afternoon, and evening schedule options.

Individualized Technical Studies

Developmental Education

Madison College offers developmental education and college preparation courses to help you be successful in your college coursework.  Based upon your placement test scores, you may be placed into one or more areas of developmental education.

High School Completion and ESL Programs

  • High school completion classes are offered tuition free to Wisconsin residents who are 18 ½ years old or older and cannot be enrolled in an accredited high school. Flexible options are available to complete a certificate/diploma.

  • English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered tuition free to Wisconsin residents who are at least 18 years old and want to learn or improve their English language skills.
